Reconciling the Divide; Vitalizing Urban Voids to Bridge Communities
The research investigates the presence of social, physical and psychological barriers present in communities of informal settlements that leads to the lack of land ownership. To bridge the communities, the research focuses on urban interventions and to vitalize urban voids that could help in connecting people. Careful consideration while assigning a function to these urban voids so that it is not to merely fill in the void to cover the gap but to provide a logical function which is connected to its surrounding context that makes the void full of meaning.
