Study of How a Place Becomes a Nuclei of Politics in Urban Setting- Dhaka University Area

This land has a long history of politics and diplomacy from Indian subcontinent era. Generally, people here are more conscious and they hold in-depth knowledge of local and national politics because of the dynamic nature of diplomacy in it. Student politics captures the scene before Bangladesh was even born as a sovereign country. Local and student politics played a crucial role in the making of an independent country. Local and national politics have dynamic characteristics; different catalysts put severe impacts on the general nature of national politics. Same as local, specifically student politics grew mostly upon a historically enriched area- Dhaka University. The research will focus on the settings and catalysts which made this area a lying-in-room for politics, protest, and movements against all odds. The purpose of the research is to identify why and how a place attracts to hold all political, or apolitical movements, and protests and to try and fulfill a part of the knowledge gap.
