About Discussions Projects15 Journals4

Benches represent a fundamental design challenge that bridges utility and form. As public furniture and spatial interventions, they offer designers opportunities to explore materiality, structure, and human interaction within built environments.

Community members investigate benches across scales and contexts, from sculptural installations in European plazas to modular seating systems that prioritize both aesthetic vision and everyday use. Work ranges from architectural statements to functional design explorations that test how seating can reshape public space.
