About Discussions Projects51 Journals1 Competitions1

Flat design strips away decorative elements to focus on essential forms, typography, and color. This approach emerged as a reaction to skeuomorphism and has become foundational to digital and graphic design practice.

The community explores flat design across diverse applications: from app interfaces and restaurant branding to architectural visualization and illustration. Members examine how minimalist aesthetics serve both functional clarity and conceptual communication in projects ranging from digital platforms to spatial design.

Upgrade is a compact, fold-able, lightweight solution to make commuting more comfortable. Attached to vertical handrails on public transport it creates a personal seat. Hooking the strap to the overhead handrails transforms it into a swing seat. Upgrade can also be used as a free standing short or tall stool or as a multi-use surface.

The Spiraling Circuit

We imagined a new platform; A continuous platform that can escape the vertical and horizontal surveillance network of Taylorism while at the same time integrating each space like a single space. As a result, the main concept of the building we propose is a continuous circuit. The continual flow on the spiraling-line induces active interactions with the user.

Uncertain Memory

Uncertain Memory is an ephemeral architecture that was put on display in B.I.G. Carnival (Banana IP Galaxy Carnival). The architects tried to explore something emotional in a regular, normal rectangular box. At night, an interactive light control program changed the lighting on filaments and allowed them to appear in various colors as people walked through.

Plug Table

The table I made has a circular metal shape where lay on two wood discs, one is the base and the other is the top of the table itself. Between these two wood discs, there is a 3cm space where is possible to store small or flat items like a laptop. So the all product can be stored in a flat packaging which is just 4 cm thick.
