The form is devoted to a series of abstract visual experiences designed to develop awareness of space and of the relationship of forms to a particular negative volume.
3THE SOARING BIRDThe key inspiration behind the form of the Opera House is the barn swallow, the national bird of Estonia, whose warble with its falling and rising pitch gives an opera-like experience. The form of the Opera House looks like a soaring bird, to represent the evolution of opera into a free-spirited art form. The green spaces provide a tourist-friendly ambience.
