This project utilizes The Battery as a case study to explore ways to not only protect the city from rising sea levels, but also support communities socially, economically, and environmentally.

The ancient canal routes and their majestic interconnecting network still hold the oldest relation between water and the people. Findings support the argument that traditional land reclamation methods are not a practical long term solution apart from its various disadvantages on the ecosystem.Our approach to solve this problem was to adapt to environment and use floating structure against SLR impacts.
