Inside-Out is highlighting the educative side of architecture,going beyond the rules.Inside-Out aims to spread an out-of-the-box architectural approach by creating an interface between sea and land.The project creates the main space on water instead of land,which shall be considered as a tangible example of how uniquely architecture can touch the planet.

Gathering The Space

Architecture has been changed and enhanced in parallel with environmental conditions. Today, we have an unstable environment. Therefore, architecture will take form in these conditions. Climate change, population growth, the annuity will cause the loss of architecture?s context, thus architecture has to determine new living spaces.

A place for discovery, experimentation and sharing It is here, facing one of the symbols of modern architecture, the MAC Niteroi by Oscar Niemeyer, that the Athenaeum emerges, as a ground movement in the seabed. The mesh appears in the bay as an artificial topography in the landscape, inspired by the mountains surrounding the city of Rio de Janeiro

Chrono-museun

Short Concept "Chrono Museum" is an architecture for the time of the sun, the time of the moon, and "individual time" that each people has. Here, people made to be sensitive to various "Time". This "architecture for architecture" not only presents "time and space" as the origin of architecture, but also presents the future democracy of our humanbeing.

The Hovering Building

This structure aims to create a form that acts as an exhibition object for architecture while including activities of leisure and education. The programs are architecture-related and the user target of this building is mainly craft's people. Although it is designed to attract tourists as well as locals.

The proposal imitates the waves of music coming from the ocean to the beach. Visitors can discover what a building means to them as an individual through experiencing a space since there is no meaning to a building without anybody experiencing it. What we call architecture is the constitution of image. This image takes a place in the urban memory. Wind, shadow, wave.. Because of the fact that the context itself is the wind, shadow and wave that constitute the image in the design made, the design establishes the context. Thus creating the make an athenaeum produced with substanceless ingredients.

Athenaeum, a space for architectural debate on the past, the present and the future. It is to assemble knowledge and share it, to point out current problems and search for solutions. The users involved in the sequence of events are invited to participate in various discussions. The proximity of nature stimulates to reflection and deepening the experience.

Throughout the analysis about learning, it has been observed that there is not any affective learning since the first accepted knowledge. The reason of it, people prefer to accepting and memorizing. It is similar in architecture. This design aims that users to learn with discover and experience while they are making their own designs.

DNA Athenaeum of World Architecture'20

The main concern of our project was to create a fancy community space for architectural and design development. We were able to find a few solutions for different local problems and conceptually solved them. The idea was to harmoniously fit into the existing environment in particular to the local landmark - Sugarloaf Mountain.

The name "RIONIR" consists of the two words RIO and REUNIR. In Portuguese Reunir stands for "(to gather)", which plays an essential role in the project. Combining this with RIO results RIONIR.

We have adopted the Lemniscate conceptually to curate content, craft experience and create our form.
