Erginoğlu & Çalışlar Design Center co-founder architect Kerem Erginoğlu, was born in 1966. After graduating from Le Lycée Saint-Joseph, he pursued his education at Mimar Sinan University, Faculty of Architecure, graduating in 1990. Finishing his graduate studies on ‘New Building Design in Historical Textures’ at the same university, Erginoğlu established Erginoğlu & Çalışlar with his partner Hasan Çalışlar. Carrying out several projects in both Turkey and abroad, Erginoğlu worked on and finalized projects with different typologies such as offices, culture, retail, civic, sports, educational, residential, industrial and master planning, which some of were first in their categories. Erginoğlu & Çalışlar’s pragmatic and aesthetic design approach which also aims to emphasize clients’ corporate identity took attention by different international firms and led to several awards such as ‘The New & Old Award’ for the Salt Repository-Medina Turgul DDB Head Quarters in the World Architecture Festival 2010 and First Prize for the New Power Station in the Iconic Awards 2015. Having articles on several publications, Erginoğlu had jury and guest instructor duties at architecture faculties of Mimar Sinan, İstanbul Technical, Uludağ, Yıldız Technical, Bologna and Minnesota University since 2000. Conducted ‘Vardiya 10’ project at the Venice Architecture Biennial in 2018. Erginoğlu is a member of TMMOB Chamber of Architects of Turkey and ISMD - Association of Architects in Private Practice of İstanbul

Plea Arq. Cristina Verissimo MSc. Arch. (Harvard University) Assistant Professor Practice Dal University Cristina Verissimo graduated in Architecture at the Faculdade de Arquitectura (FA-UTL) and has a MArchII Degree from GSD Harvard University. She is an Assistant Professor of Practice at DALHOUSIE UNIVERSITY, FACULTY OF ARCHITECTURE AND PLANNING since 2012. She taught architectural design studio at the Faculty of Architecture of the Technical University of Lisbon from 2002-2012. She has been invited as critic and lecturer to numerous international universities and countries such as: Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, Santiago, Dalhousie University, Halifax, Canada, Cornell University in Ithaca and NY, USA; Arlington University, Texas, USA; Architectural University of Buenos Aires, Argentina; BAC in Boston (2002), at Hong Kong Chinese University, Faculty of Architecture of Lisbon amongst others. She also has an active professional practice CVDB Arquitectos with her long partner Diogo Burnay. The practice has been award with international architectural prices. She now started her Ph.D. where she planned to push further other possible uses of Cork material in architecture.

Ertuğ Uçar Ertuğ is running TEGET Office in İstanbul with his partner, Mehmet. TEGET, with its young crew, is a research-based dynamic design practice working on different scales ranging from masterplan to building complexes of many types and to single houses. TEGET won National Architecture Prize of Turkey for three times in 2010, 2014 and 2018 and also co-curated Turkish National Pavillion in Venice Architecture Biennale, in 2016. Ertuğ has two novels and five storybooks published. He likes desserts, lighthouses, long walks in nature and sketching landscape views.

Received a B.A. in Architecture from HongIk University (1987) and a Licence of Architects D.P.L.G. from École d'Architecture Paris-Belleville (1991) Ph D. in the history of Art from École d'Architecture Paris-Belleville (1996). Won the Millennium Gate competition of Korea in 2000. Now, Professor at Kyung Hee University. He established KOMA(Korea Office of Modern Architecture) in 1996. Major projects include "B.G.V.C", “Sonyangwon Memorial", "Saemoonan Church", ”Erum Church", "Entra Hotel", "Daejun holy light church", "Heavenly Gem Church", "National Musichall ANNEX", "Sejong Trois hills". He is the author of "Beautiful Church Architecture" and "Modernity unfinished". He has served as a Public architect of Sejong-si, Yongin-si.
