Hello, I was wondering what is the way the topography is inclined? On the cad there are curve levels every 0.25m, but it does not state which one is higher or lower. Thank you
Hello Laura, The curve lines on the CAD plan signify the contours on the site. Along with the levels (0.75m, 0.50m, 0.25m etc.) the + and - signs denote the highest (+) and lowest (-) points on the site. Hope this helps. Good luck!
Hello, Could I ask if the maximum FAR allowed is 0.3 on a 515 SQM site does that mean the buildable area is only 154 SQM?
Hello Dion, Yes the built-up area is 154 sqm with a maximum height of 5m.
Hi, thanks for the reply! Can I clarify how we can have a 200 SQM enclosed space for the greenhouse in that case? Or does the 154 SQM apply only to the retail space and the 200 SQM of greenhouse space is not included as part of the "built-up area"?
Hi, The challenge includes a ground ratio (70%) of maximum allowed built-up area on ground level to the total land area of the site. It equates to 360.5 square meters. This area can include 200sqm greenhouse or functions that require a temporary built-up. Hope this helps. Good luck!
Hello, thanks for the reply. Could I just clarify if we are allowed to build up to 360.5 SQM? If that is the case, does 70% of the lot covered mean the FAR is 0.7, which exceeds the max allowable of 0.3? I apologise if I am misunderstanding the numbers but I hope you are able to indicate exactly the maximum buildable area so we are able to avoid any miscommunication, thank you so much!
Hello, These are the main site parameters to the site in Green store: Site Area: 515 sqm Maximum FAR: 0.3 Ground Coverage: 70% Height Restriction: 5m Site area refers to the total area of the site marked. Maximum FAR (Floor area ratio) = 0.3, is the maximum built-up area of the store - which is 154sqm. Ground Coverage signifies that you can utilize 70% (360.5 sqm) of the site (excluding the 154 sqm) for functions/spaces/activities that can have a temporary footprint. These spaces of temporary footprint thus can include the 200 sqm greenhouse. *Note- This 70% coverage is not the built-up area, it is the percentage to balance the built and unbuilt spaces on site. By this calculation 30% (maximum FAR =0.3) of the site area = 30% of 515sqm = 154 sqm is the built-up area for green store. Hope this clears your confusion. Feel free to reach out for any more questions. Thank you!
Hi, Is the "overview" layed out in the "about" section the only brief given? Is there a more in-depth brief I am missing (including the CAD plan)? The page doesn't have the button to download a brief like in other competitions I've seen. Thanks in advance!
Hi Isobel, In our recent competitions, access to the resources (CAD plan, site maps etc) will be provided after you register for the competition.
I can't click to submit the project, does anyone have the same situation as me. The previous submission deadline is different from the current one, and when I upload other files, the last step cannot be clicked. But the current submission time has not reached the deadline displayed on the webpage.
The current situation is. Now it shows that the contest is overdue, but it's not past the deadline for submission
i have submitted mine on 15th august and it works fine, maybe you can contact the uni xyz team on the message button (right bottom corner)
