Institutional Jurors are entitled as a jury member under the Institutional Access program. Learn More about the program. 

The institutional Access program is separate from the regular judging process of the competition. And institutional Jury does not have a say in the final judging process of the competition. Institutional jurors only participate in evaluating the entry that comes under Institutional Access program. Institutional Jurors are neither allowed to discuss the resulting outcome with the lead jury members.

It is a program launched for universities/colleges to come together to exchange ideas and work on this collaborative platform to discuss and participate in an international design competition. It has been crafted for students specifically to participate at a lower fee and learn with a collaborative exchange of ideas. The winners of the Institutional Access program are not entitled to any cash reward and their winning performance are limited to people participating in the competition at an institutional level only.

Rabah Saoud

Dr. Rabah Saoud studied in the universities of Liverpool and Manchester (UK). Since 1999, he expanded his scope of research into the history
of Muslim Architecture and Civilisation and their influence. He is renowned for his co-publication of the best seller; Muslim Heritage in Our
world, 1001 inventions (2006). In 2017, he published his second book: Architectural Encounters: Islam and the West. He has also published
more than 50 articles in the same subject in the leading historical E-journal of Muslimheritage.com. In 2005 he worked as a senior consultant for
MTE Studios to bring to light the historical significance of Dubai Ibn Battuta Shopping Mall. Dr. Saoud joined the University of Ajman in August
2008 where he holds the position of Assistant Professor.

Bouzid Boudiaf

Bouzid Boudiaf

Bouzid BOUDIAF graduated in architecture from the Ecole Polytechnique d’Architecture et d’Urbanisme d’Alger, in 1984 with first class honors.
After one year in professional practice in the headquarter of housing in Algiers, he accepted a post - graduate research grant from the
Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research that enabled him to study at Heriot - Watt University, Edinburgh. He has a degree of
master of science in urban - design and a Ph.D in Architectural Design from the University of Wolverhampton. He was the course director at
the E.P.A.U. In 1996, he was designated by the ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to coordinate the pedagogical programs
of technology and architecture. He taught at the I.T.T.P.B and was a visiting Associate Professor at the Institute of Town and Regional
Planning at the University of Sciences and Technology ( U.S.T.H.B.), Bab- Ezzouar. He is an associate researcher at the laboratory of town
planning at the U.S.T.H.B. He published more than forty papers and chapters’ books dealing particularly with architectural training, housing,
and heritage and urban - design. In 2005, he joined Ajman University of Science and Technology as an assistant Professor in Architecture and
Urban Design. He is also a member of editing board of some architectural magazines. He published many books and his last book is: Towards
a responsive environment.

Architect, Ajman University, UAE

Alessandro Cece is an Italian architect with an international background. He holds a Master Degree in Architecture from Seconda Università di
Napoli, Italy., a Master of Science for Advanced Architectural Design from “GSAPP” - Columbia University, New York”, USA. He received his Ph.
D. in Architectural and Urban Design, from Seconda Università di Napoli, Italy. His theoretical and practical research activity is involved in
Peter Eisenman thought, Italian modernism and typological studies. His previous academic and professional experiences include
collaborations with Iowa State University - USA, Seconda Università di Napoli, Italia, and Eisenman Architects.
