Emre Arolat
Founding Partner & Principal, Emre Arolat Architecture, United States
Emre Arolat is the design partner of EAA-Emre Arolat Architecture, founded with Gonca Paşolar in 2004, as the continuation of his architectural practice that began in 1987 when he started as an associate designer at his parents’ studio, Arolat Architects. Since that time, he has completed a substantial body of work and EAA is an internationally recognised practice with offices in New York, London and Istanbul, engaged in a wide range of projects, from urban master plans and airports, to residential and cultural buildings, and workplaces. Emre Arolat teaches and lectures widely both within Turkey and internationally. In 2017, he was Norman R. Foster Visiting Professor at the Yale School of Architecture, where he taught Advanced Studio during the fall semester. He has lectured at La Cité de l’Architecture et du Patrimoine in Paris (2017), at the Pratt Institute in New York (2014), and taught a studio at The Berlage Institute in Delft (2014). Arolat was the co-curator, in collaboration with the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (IKSV), of the first Istanbul Design Biennale in 2012. He was awarded a professorship by the International Academy of Architecture, Sofia, in 2015. EAA received international attention early on with the Minicity Theme Park (2004), which was selected by the Mies van der Rohe Award for European Architecture. Many international awards have followed, including the Aga Khan Award for Architecture in 2010 for the Ipekyol Textile Factory in Edirne. Arolat served on the Aga Khan Award for Architecture Master Jury in 2016 and has been appointed to the Steering Committee for the 14th Award Cycle (2017-2019). EAA’s work has been published by Rizzoli NY in the monograph Emre Arolat Architects: Context and Plurality (2013), edited by Philip Jodidio and Suha Özkan. Their projects have been shown in exhibitions at renowned institutions including the Design Museum, The Royal Academy of Arts and the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) in London, and were presented at the International Architecture Biennale in Venice in 2012 and 2016. Emre Arolat has taught at Yale School of Architecture, Advanced Design Studio as Norman R. Foster Visiting Professor with Gonca Pasolar at Fall Semester 2017. The studio studies on very exciting and intriguing projects led by honorable architects such as Frank O. Gehry, Peter Eisenman and Elia Zenghelis. Emre Arolat has been elected as an Honorary Fellow of the American Institute of Architects on February 2019, as this is among the highest honors the AIA can bestow upon a colleague who has contributed significantly to architecture and society.
Faramarz Parsi

Faramarz Parsi obtained his “MA in Architecture and Urban Planning” from Iran University of Science & Technology in 1992. After Cooperation with ARSEH and BAVAND consulting engineers in remarkable projects like Restoration of the historical building of “National Consultative Assembly of Iran”, He continued his career as the CEO of EMARAT KHORHID consulting engineers and since 1999, several important and successful Design, Documentation, Restoration, Revitalization, Repair and Rehabilitation projects have been done, under his supervision and management in his office, in architectural, urban and rural domains. One of the most prestigious projects that has been planned, advanced and executed under his supervision is “Collaborative Restoration and Revitalization of Esfahak Historic Village” near Tabas, a city in South Khorasan Province in Iran, which gained a huge success at national and international levels. It won the Special Jury Appreciation Award of Memar in the category of “Reconstruction”. It was also the Third Place Winner of “2A Asia Architecture Award 2017” in the category of Urban, Rural Projects, Landscape & Public spaces. This project has recently won “To Do 2020 Award of Germany”, as well. Faramarz Parsi has also published various articles and research reports in the Iranian journals and he was a member of Editorial Board in “Memar” magazine for 5 years (2006-2011). He is a well-known figure and consultant in the fields of traditional Iranian architecture, as well as restoration of historical buildings and sites and has held a lot of professional workshops regarding “The Language of Historical architecture in Iran”. He has also been teaching as a visiting professor at University of Tehran, Iran University of Science & Technology, Islamic Azad University, Tabriz Branch and Tehran Azad university central branch, in Iran.
Cristiano Luchetti
Assistant Professor, American University of Sharjah, Sharjah - United Arab Emirates
Cristiano Luchetti holds a Master of Architecture from The Pennsylvania State University and a Laurea in Architettura from Universita’ D’Annunzio, Chieti. He is a registered architect with vast experience in leading the design of large scale projects in residential, commercial, and hospitality sectors in Europe, China, India, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the American University of Sharjah, UAE, where he teaches architectural/urban design, professional practice, and drawing courses. Cristiano was one of the founders of Laboratorio Architettura Nomade, a no-profit association founded in 2004 for the research and diffusion of art and architecture. As a critic, he regularly writes about the architecture and urban development of the Middle East. He often serves a juror for reviews, international competitions, and architectural awards. Cristiano co-curated the Egyptian pavilion at the 2018 Architecture Venice Biennale. The pavilion was shortlisted in the World Architecture Festival 2018 Display Built Projects category and won the Honor Award at Cairo Design Award 2018
Jorge Arvizu Soto
Partner, Estudio MMX, Mexico
Jorge Arvizu co-founder of Estudio MMX. He is a consultant to various private institutions in Mexico and participates as a guest critic and lecturer in various academic institutions. For a decade and together with Ignacio del Rio, Emmanuel Ramírez and Diego Ricalde, directs Estudio MMX; an urban and architectural design studio based in Mexico City. Jorge is an architect and urban planner from IBERO University and a Master in Civil Engineering and Construction Management from the IBERO University. He has worked in renowned architecture studios, among which TEN Arquitectos, and the Alberto Kalach Architecture Workshop stand out, as well as a collaboration with Architect Oscar Haggerman in the construction of shelters and schools in marginalized rural areas. He was a professor of projects and construction at IBERO and has been invited by various institutions to offer lectures on topics related to this experience, as well as work and projects of Estudio MMX. Jorge’s real estate developments have been successful on his scale and in conjunction with Estudio MMX, he has received international awards such as the “Architectural League Prize for Young Architects”, the “Architectural Record” Design Vanguard Award “and the National Cemex Award and International, among some other prizes for public and private competitions.

Pouya Khazaeli 1975 - Tehran Director of Esfahk Mud Center (Research center for earthen Architecture, Khorasan-Iran). Post Master of Earthen Architecture (DSA-Terre) from CRAterre - University of Grenoble. Worked with leadiding architecture firms such as « Shigeru Ban Architects » and « Architecture for Humanity ».
