UNI DesignAwards 2022

UNI Design Awards has been created to recognize, honour and celebrate outstanding product and industrial designs and architecture that represent the highest level of creative originality and design excellence. We are inviting product designers and industrial designers across the globe to submit their entries which will be judged for design innovation, materials, technical advancements, cost and value, environmental responsibility, aesthetics, need and usage.

We will acknowledge those outstanding designs and will promote them at a global scale through our online platform, media partners, social channels, and also in the form of an annual book presenting the best designs across the globe. UNI Design Awards seeks to find and showcase the best research, built and unbuilt projects in architecture, design and related fields. This architecture award strives to encompass all architecture and design disciplines under a carefully curated umbrella for students, young architects/designers and professionals.

Materials in architecture

Materials are an element that binds together to form an architecture that we appreciate every day. The ability to make good materials in architecture is one, but being true to it till the material level is another. What stands out when we appreciate architecture rooted at the material level is the fact that, irrespective of scale/budget/limitations/challenges/design liberty, getting things elementally right - is what differentiates good architecture from the rest. Good spaces entice mental and emotional wellbeing, but materials are the interface to these good vibes. Materials constantly speak to our senses which gives us a feeling of positivity within

Tactile is an Architecture Awards Programme that recognizes exceptional architecture at the material level. Tactile explores excellence in detailing building design. The spotlight here is extended to details that are fundamental to any architecture design but often go undiscovered as the dialogue today around architecture as it is too broad to look at these.

Tactile aims to spread awareness about architecture and materials - small yet powerful innovations that make architecture possible and the efforts of designers who make them visible.
