Matheus Diniz

Matheus Diniz is an award-wining architect praised for his spatial sensibility and for how he strives to improve the quality of the urban experience with his projects. He graduated in architecture and urban design at the Architecture School of the Federal University of Minas Gerais, he also completed with distinction a master’s degree in architecture and urban design at the College of Architecture and Urban Design of the Mackenzie Presbyterian University. He worked in internationally renowned architecture studios in Brazil, Switzerland and Iceland before founding in 2012 his own studio, MDAD, where he developed projects in several scales, from masterplans to interior design. His projects were featured in several publications and he was unanimously awarded with the grand prize for the 57th Annual Architects Awards of the Brazilian Institute of Architects – Rio de Janeiro.
Florian Busch
Director, Florian Busch Architects, Japan
Florian Busch is an award-winning architect featured in numerous publications and media. He has been invited speaker, lecturer and guest critic at institutions world-wide.
After graduating from Bauhaus University in Weimar and the Architectural Association in London, Florian Busch worked for Toyo Ito & Associates from 2004 until 2008.
In 2009 he founded Florian Busch Architects (FBA), an office practicing architecture and urbanism.
Headquartered in Tokyo, FBA draws on a global network of the industry’s top experts, bringing together a wealth of knowledge and innovation to drive every project to solutions exceeding the imagined. FBA’s works comprise a wide spectrum of structures and buildings at all scales. FBA’s research teams focus on a wide spectrum of topics pertaining to and going beyond what is conventionally considered ‘architecture’.
Following the acclaimed design for an exhibition pavilion made from custom-developed materials out of industrial waste in 2010, FBA were, the following year, asked to lead the artistic direction of one of Japan’s largest Design Trade Shows.
In the same year, FBA were commissioned by Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry to design a space showcasing the dormant treasures of craftsmanship from Tohoku, the area devastated during the tsunami of March 2011.
Florian Busch is a registered architect in Germany and Japan.
Kazuma Yamao

Architect. Founding partner of waiwai.
Born in 1978 in Kyoto, Japan. Graduated Kyoto University, received the first prize of diploma in 2001. Completed Master degree of the University of Tokyo Graduated School in 2004. Joined CAt (C+A tokyo) in 2004. Established GINGRICH architects in 2013. Restructuring the company as waiwai in collaboration with the partner in Dubai since 2018.
Based in Tokyo and Dubai, various projects are ongoing in Japan, Asia, and Middle East countries.
Representative works are; ”Aomori nursery for old people” (Aomori, Japan), “U hotel “ (Nagasaki, Japan), “Hotel MX (Hokkaido, Japan)”, "Unosumai elementary school” (Iwate, Japan), “Otaru Harbor cafe”(Hokkaido, Japan, received SD Review prize 2015), "M station” (Manila, Philippines)", "Jakarta Model (Jakarta, Indonesia)", "K project (Jakarta, Indoensia)".
waiwai is an international architecture, landscape, and urban design office based in Tokyo and Dubai.
The office is led by three partners, Kazuma Yamao (Japan), Wael Al Awar (Lebanon), and Kenichi Teramoto (Japan). Originally, the three worked together in Tokyo.
Tokyo and Dubai were specifically selected as office locations due to their cultural vibrance, with both offering a stimulating environment for arts, architecture, and historical tradition. Further, the two hub cities allow the team to cover a broader area within Asia and the Middle East, diversifying both their projects and experiences.
