New Office Building Carbonera by Carlana Mezzalira Pentimalli: A Sustainable and Adaptive Workplace
A sustainable, flexible office in Carbonera by Carlana Mezzalira Pentimalli, integrating biophilic design, modular workspaces, and artistic expression.
A Visionary Workspace in Vascon di Carbonera
Carlana Mezzalira Pentimalli, a renowned architectural firm, has unveiled the New Office Building Carbonera, a cutting-edge headquarters designed for Itagency, Faba, Maikii, and Exclama. Situated in Vascon di Carbonera, a northern industrial hub of Treviso, Italy, this project seamlessly integrates architecture, sustainability, and community engagement to redefine modern workspaces.

A Fusion of Sustainability and Functionality
Spanning 13,255 m², this innovative office building embraces the shift toward remote work and digitalization, creating an environment that prioritizes flexibility, sustainability, and employee well-being. By breaking away from the rigid structures of traditional workplaces, the design promotes collaborative, dynamic spaces that encourage interaction and adaptability.
The building integrates open-air spaces, natural light, and biophilic design, reinforcing its commitment to sustainability and employee wellness. By utilizing eco-conscious materials and energy-efficient solutions, the architects have crafted a model for the future of corporate architecture.

Adaptable and Dynamic Interior Spaces
Designed with human-centric principles, the New Office Building Carbonera features modular, reconfigurable office layouts that support various work styles. Glass partitions, fabric acoustic panels, and mobile walls provide seamless transitions between private and collaborative areas. Employees benefit from dedicated quiet zones for focused tasks, while open-plan areas foster teamwork and innovation.
The ground floor is a multipurpose hub, serving as a venue for meetings, exhibitions, and community events. Meanwhile, the upper floors house adaptable workspaces, complete with customizable desks and shelving systems. The integration of a concealed mechanical system behind a sleek metal grille further enhances the contemporary industrial aesthetic.

Sustainable Logistics and Cost-Efficient Expansion
One of the project’s standout features is its strategic expansion plan, which transforms existing office spaces into additional warehouse facilities while extending the site northward. This approach enhances logistical efficiency, reduces environmental impact, and optimizes construction costs. The addition of a new cargo yard further streamlines operations, reinforcing the project’s long-term sustainability.

A Rooftop Plaza for Interaction and Artistic Expression
Breaking away from conventional office designs, the rooftop of the building doubles as a communal plaza, offering employees a unique space for relaxation and socialization. This elevated gathering spot is further enriched by the work of artist Lorenzo Mason, whose graphic interpretations of non-verbal communication transform the area into a vibrant hub for interaction.
Carlana Mezzalira Pentimalli’s integration of architecture, urban planning, and art is evident throughout the project. The firm’s philosophy of designing spaces that evolve with their surroundings ensures that the New Office Building Carbonera will continue to adapt to future workplace trends, maintaining its relevance for years to come.

Redefining the Future of Hybrid Workspaces
With its innovative, flexible, and community-driven design, the New Office Building Carbonera stands as a benchmark for the next generation of workspaces. The fusion of sustainability, artistic expression, and human-centered architecture establishes this project as an exemplar of modern office design, proving that corporate spaces can be both functional and inspiring.
