Casa Castores 104 by BAG arquitectura: A Harmonious Dialogue Between Nature, Light, and Materiality
Casa Castores 104 blends natural materials, garden-centric design, and soft lighting to create a serene, luxurious living experience.
A Home Rooted in Landscape
Casa Castores 104, designed by BAG arquitectura, is located in the southwest of Aguascalientes, Mexico, within a serene residential zone. The residence is situated on a generous 1000 m² plot, allowing for a single-level horseshoe layout that centers around a lush social garden, functioning as the heart of the home. This garden-centric design ensures a continuous indoor-outdoor flow while respecting the site’s natural vegetation.
At the forefront, a majestic Pirul tree anchors the main facade, offering scale and presence. In response, the architectural language of the home unfolds in a palette of natural materials—wood, stone, and clay—which together create a sensory-rich composition of textures, warmth, and contrast.

Spatial Division and Flow
The architectural program is clearly delineated into social and private zones, each designed with distinct atmospheres while maintaining a unified aesthetic.

Social Wing: Airy, Open, and Inviting
Upon entry, a beautiful olive tree and backyard garden draw the eye inward, instilling an immediate sense of calm and freshness. This entry leads to a generous double-height living and dining area, whose volumetric play adds visual hierarchy. Adjoining this is a pergola-covered terrace, blurring the line between interior and garden space. The kitchen, home office, and TV lounge form part of this cluster, enabling flexible use and dynamic social interaction.

Private Wing: Light, Shadow, and Retreat
Transitioning to the private zone, a light-filled corridor—artfully designed with slit windows—creates an interplay of shadow and reflection, enhancing the tactile experience. This wing hosts three bedrooms: two symmetrical rooms with en-suite baths and dressing areas, and a master suite that opens onto a private terrace featuring a Jacuzzi and tranquil seating—perfect for solitude and rest.

Light, Material, and Smart Design
Throughout Casa Castores 104, indirect lighting has been strategically employed to highlight spatial focal points and evoke emotional resonance. By day, sunlight animates the interiors; by night, the soft glow of hidden luminaires adds intimacy.
The project embraces a restrained yet elegant material palette—marble, wood, and steel—enhanced by the integration of home automation systems. This refined fusion of modern technology and artisanal finishes elevates the home’s experiential quality while reflecting the aspirations of contemporary Mexican living.

Living in Balance
Every space in Casa Castores 104 is designed to promote balance between interior and exterior, privacy and openness, sophistication and simplicity. The thoughtful layout, sculpted light, and reverence for nature culminate in a residential experience that is both serene and sensorial, offering residents a place of connection, reflection, and comfort.
