A Home Inspired by Agape and Harmonious Living

Nestled within the lush landscape of Medellín, Colombia, Covva House by Bon Studio reimagines domestic life through architecture grounded in agape — a concept of deep, selfless love. Designed in 2024, this 450 m² residence celebrates pause, contemplation, and connection to nature, offering a serene retreat where architecture and landscape merge into a seamless living experience.

Organic Architecture Shaped by the Terrain

Covva House unfolds as an organic and fluid architectural form, inspired by the surrounding environment. The structure gently blends into the natural slope, curating a journey where each space opens toward nature, light, and expansive views.

The home’s design expresses movement and quiet immersion, inviting residents to slow down, enjoy the present moment, and cultivate a deeper appreciation for the landscape.

Layered Spatial Experience Across Two Levels

The architecture is thoughtfully organized across two levels, separating social and private realms while maintaining visual harmony:

Ground Level: Social Life in Harmony With Nature

The main level hosts social spaces, where generous living areas dissolve into the outdoors. Large glass surfaces, soft natural materials, and fluid circulation create an atmosphere of openness and connection.

Lower Level: Intimate Privacy and Emotion

The private program settles on the lower level, where the land naturally embraces the interior. Bedrooms and quiet corners offer intimate retreat spaces, protected from movement above yet oriented toward serene reservoir views. The design ensures privacy without sacrificing the panoramic connection to nature.

Warm Interiors That Celebrate Material Honesty

Covva House uses natural materials and soft tones to evoke serenity and warmth:

  • Stone and warm woods as tactile anchors
  • Neutral color palette to enhance tranquility
  • Soft natural light filtered through glazing
  • Refined detailing to create an atmosphere of comfort and care

Kitchen as the Heart of the Home

Central to the design is an expansive kitchen with a sculptural island — a welcoming space designed for gathering, cooking, and sharing moments. This core element reinforces the project’s emotional narrative, turning everyday rituals into moments of connection.
