Dante House: A Masterpiece by Bloco Arquitetos in Brasília, Brazil

Dante House, designed by Bloco Arquitetos, is a stunning example of modern architectural ingenuity. The plot on which Dante House sits features a natural slope of 130cm between its side boundaries. To integrate the house into the landscape while respecting the natural topography, the ground floor is positioned at the midpoint of the slope. As a result, the house is partially buried on one side, with the other side slightly elevated and exposed. This interaction with the landscape creates an intriguing balance between modern design and the environment.

Structural Ingenuity: Exposed Concrete Roof

One of the most striking features of Dante House is its exposed concrete roof, which consists of five parallel beams. The central three beams are suspended by three inverted transverse beams, forming a unique structural assembly.
