The Jiuxiangling Kindergarten was facing significant challenges when the renovation project began. Built with an old factory structure, the building was surrounded by residential and industrial areas, making it less accessible and safe for children. The original design was outdated, with safety issues, poor ventilation, inadequate lighting, and cramped spaces that didn’t meet modern educational standards. The narrow corridors, lack of proper facilities, and deteriorating infrastructure were problematic for both children and staff.
