14AFLOAT | A WATER RESILIENT NEIGHBORHOODTo design a neighborhood that responds to climatic variations and offers resilience to the inhabitants of Jakarta, Indonesia due to rising sea levels caused by global climate change. Jakarta is one of the fastest sinking city in the world and this project aims at creating a water resilient neighborhood that takes inspiration from amphibious architecture.

84People's Choice AwardBeyond the AquariumAquarium usually talks about the ocean but we forget it’s the river that leads to the ocean. So for a country like Bangladesh, where 230 rivers are flowing all over the country, Aquarium has to be rethought completely. Cause it has to tell to the whole story not the half of it, for us to understand as a riverine country how much we are depended on rivers.
7SYMBIOSISThe theme of the project is "symbiosis". The main purpose of the project is to build a rescue center, provide assistance to koala who was injured in the forest fire,and tell people to live in harmony with nature.
8THE SIX GUARDIANSThe project, an ensemble of small scale public spaces, is comprised of eight delicate elements; two floating platforms in the middle and six green inverted octagonal pyramids, three on each side of the river.
5Meta(bio)lismMeta(bio)lism proposes an energy & resource re-use strategy which people can adapt under the effects of extreme weather. The landscape will both redirect flood water, preventing flood disaster and allow mining of the Kaolin soil to be more efficient and sustainable. Human beings will rediscover their relationship with nature over time.
