Cambridge container town

The concept of the "container city" presented in the competition reflects the author's idea of the essence of the student housing arrangement, as inexpensive and quickly constructed. To create a student campus, the competition paper applied a block development scheme. To create a student campus, a quarterly development scheme was applied in competitive work.

Our idea is to create a student camp which brings to life the legendary game Tetris into real three-dimensional volumes. For the realization of the idea we offer 5 variants of modules composed of 15 containers in the shapes of Tetris figures: T, S (Z), O, I, L (J). They can be placed on land in different ways.

The basis of the suggested project is the placement of a dormitory for students and teachers of the Murmansk Marine Fisheries College named after I.I. in northwestern Russia. The project that you are considering suggests forming of structural style made of sea or rail containers to resemble a traditional Russian dwelling - a hut.

The facility was designed to provide temporary housing for geology students during student internships and is located in a mountainous area in the southern part of the Crimean Peninsula. The main focus for us was the most efficient use of free spaces. We came to the solution of this problem due to the special location of the containers relative to each other. Various options for the use of additional space were also considered.

The main idea of the project is binary system. The concept is based on the structure of binary code. There are only 0 and 1: 1 - filled structure (residential), 0 - void structure (non-residential). Thanks to the use of the algorithm, the concept uses combinations of modules that form a competent structure of the complex.

The wild bird in Serengeti

Inspired by an abstract wild bird, the observation deck-bridge is supposed to be located on the Grumeti River, among the vegetation. The location is due to the migration routes of wild animals, which will be convenient and comfortable. Easily erected structures ensure a careful introduction into nature, production efficiency and environmental friendliness.
