13THE BRIDGE OF MEMORYLearn from the Past to live a better Future. Our project commemorates the tragic story of Aleppo and offers salvation by focusing on the future evolution of the city. We believe in the necessity of retrospection, we don't want to forget, we don't want to delete the bruises, but take the lesson they teach us to build a better and wiser way of living together.
17Layers of MemoryOur function is a community gathering place, a central plaza, which also serves as a monument for the exceptionally rich and layered history of Aleppo. With our proposal we want to represent the collective memory of this ancient city, reminding its citizens that Aleppo had long endured the storm of history, and its resistance is still yet to be broken.
260 X 60the basic 60 x 60 unit was taken from the human scale and his behavioral actions through public spaces and was made to be accessible for all. as the first level can be used for sitting and the second for leaning on while standing and having one on one conversations. the 60 cm on the z axis could be helpful for sitting or to support personal belongings.

The project proposes to refill the space as a museum for local artist and ancient element of Aleppo?s history that creates a spatial awareness both by form and function.
1The house, the urban fabricThe project seeks to build over what was built and what was destroyed, in other words, recognize not only the recent war but also the historical and cultural legacy of Syrian people. Recovering the diary life of people by learning about their past and traditions, studying how they walk the places that shape the city is easy to project what Aleppo needs.
