AMPHIBIOUS STRUCTURES:Building Resilience in Munroe Islands
The thesis project concentrates on exploring new technologies and flood resilient structures in flood prone areas. Taking case of Munroe island where tidal flooding is a usual scene and is noticed to be sinking after Tsunami in 2004, endangering the lives of the inhabitants.Low-lying areas of the island are now under threat of submergence during high tides.
