Baans Ghari
The architecture around us greatly influences the nature of a community. This bamboo pavilion is designed to be placed on the terrace of a market in Gangtok, in the Himalayan kingdom of India. The sustainable and low cost material and construction make for an interactive community space for the youth and elderly alike.

This shows the location of the pavilion on the terrace of the community market. Placed around the area skateboarders actively use and leisure shoppers walk around, it provides for a space for interaction and rest.
