As technology continues to change the nature of labour, and hours of work continue to be stretched in the future, the CoLAB building represents a central community hub where creative workers are able to find support, education and leisure. Creatives are able to perform work while improving mental and physical well-being by connecting with one another.

A very well-thought out project which responds to all aspects of the brief, and contextualises it within the broader context of the current modes of working. The spatial configuration and programming reinforces the conceptual idea successfully. The concept would be further strengthened by considering the 'sleeping' aspect of work/life balance and explore an integrated typology with short / long term accommodation. Very considered and resolved project.
