Our project in Boa Vista aims to create a sustainable cultural hub that preserves and promotes local traditions. Concrete topographic masses form shaded spaces for markets, performances, and workshops. Above, modular units that are carried by a structural steel grid offer lodging for artists and visitors.

On a steep tropical terrain, the project rises with the slope instead of flattening it. Lifted on slender stilts, the house touches the ground lightly, allowing water, vegetation, and landform to remain natural. It becomes a light structure between earth and canopy, shaped by balance, climate, and nature.

Beyond the tree

The project is intended as an architectural interpretation of the tree. A break out of time and moments disconnected from the urban frenzy are established through the work of three interiorities. The tree becomes a project vector, a tool for designing space, sculpting architecture, orienting the believer and sequencing the path of a new chapel.
