THE MAIN IDEA OF THE PROJECT IS TO INCREASE THE AREA OF FORESTS IN ETHIOPIA AND TO CREATE A NEW SPACE AROUND THE DEVELOPMENT OF CULTURE AND ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS. THE SPATIAL LAYOUT OF THE OBJECTS HAS BEEN DIRECTED THROUGH A DISTRICT WHERE THE CHAPEL IS THE CENTRAL PART. THE BUILDINGS AND PATHWAYS HAVE BEEN FULLY ADAPTED TO THE NATURAL LANDSCAPE.

Community centre with a forest chapel located on a plot in Bole, Addis ababa, Ethiopia. The chapel is located in the centre of the site, which is also its highest area. This way it is embraced by the forest and protected from the noise and pollution. The community centre is by the entrance of the site.
