Resource City
A waste-management-facility serves as an interface between the society and the dwellers of Manshyiat Naser. The design creates awareness and provides a symbol of appreciation for the local workers, since it‘s their work that prevents Cairo‘s waste management infrastructure from collapsing.

Some strong ideas, but the scale of the tower is overwhelming in its context. Many attempts to create low-income housing in tall towers have failed for this reason.
This is a well intentioned and thought through proposal, however the approach and programming ( big idea) is not very convincing due to the scale and overall effect. If large chimneys were the desired outcome technically it may have been possible to execute in a more compelling manor.
