Our design proposal intends to honor Mughal history and ensure its legacy transcends over time. Our design aims to subtly capture the spirit of the Black Taj. Whether the Black Taj was meant to be, or not meant to be; is left for an individual decipher; but Shah Jahan, Mumtaz and their love was certainly meant to transcend over time.

Our approach to Black Taj has been to reveal the layers of Mughal Empire and not let them remain buried under history. To do so, we wanted to create an experiential poetic space, not just a monument to something of the past. We wanted to orchestrate an experience that thrives the memory of Agra's people and celebrate a shared history.
