the LINE and the NET
The LINE processes the transition of the original wall into a path that reverses the meaning of separation and exclusion, and transforms the character of the wholw towards an idea of connection. The NETWORK proposes the seam between two disparate worlds (formal and informal) and culture is the nexus that, with its transforming capacity, links them.

This projects constructs a sequence of spaces that articulate a program that aims to bring people together. The concept of the line and the net sums the main objective of the project very well and it is reflected in the resolution of its tectonics.
- The net is a flexible structure or weft and therefore suitable for generating the compactness of desired spaces. It would have been interesting to develop more deeply the connection between it, the spaces they generate and the routes. - The scale of the space that the net is capable of weaving and its more organic composition, similar to the occupation of the hill of many of the populations in Lima that are flexible and adaptable, is more interesting than the scale of the large plaza or lower agora. This large surface, furthermore, does not resolve its relationship with the topography and its slope, it generates a large surface lost below it, that has not been worked. - It is suggested to develop a better and more dynamic relationship between the net and route in depth, to generate a more fluid relationship. Perhaps a fragmented and sinuous line could be thought of for the route so that it allows entry and exit to the spaces with greater dynamism and in an unforeseen way. - It is suggested to address the physical dissolution of the side wall; it is necessary to work that edge. - The program of commercial exchange activities works optimally, promotes joint activities and interaction. Markets and fairs are deeply rooted in Lima's culture and the net structure is an enabler to generate reduced-scale spaces for booths, as well as to it extension, if necessary. I find an interesting correlation with the compactness and organic urbanism, observed in the urbanism of hills in Lima. - It would have been interesting to have a little more detail on how the structure of the net is materially developed, considering its importance in the proposal. - The idea of the tower as a milestone is interesting as a reference element for the population; however, I think that its scale should be taken care of, as well as improving its relationship with the net and with the topography.
El planteamiento de convertir la línea en una retícula invirtiendo su sentido divisorio para permitir una integración a partir de una grilla tiene por un lado el beneficio de tener un sistema que pueda acoger diferentes programas que sirvan como una plataforma de encuentro controlado, además de tener en cuenta su seriación a lo largo de la ladera siguiendo un crecimiento progresivo para una forma de habitar. Por otro lado, tener una estructura en esos términos sigue manteniendo la jerarquía de un poder que no reconoce los intercambios de sus pobladores en relación al espacio cotidiano, es por eso que no creemos que ese sistema cambie la realidad de la dicotomía en la cual se encuentra este fragmento ciudad.
