The Museum in Sztutowo. New Forms of Expression in the Design of Memorial Sites
The goal of the project was to create a museum and a place of contemplation that would tell the story of the 110,000 prisoners of the Nazi concentration and extermination camp KL Stutthof, not only through artifacts but also through means of expression such as form, light, shadow, and water. As a result, the facility will provide a multi-layered emotional.

The project stands out for its exceptional consistency and architectural maturity. The monumental yet understated concrete forms blend seamlessly into the natural landscape, creating an intriguing dialogue between the architecture, the water, and the surrounding greenery. The use of soft curves, bold planes, and the interplay of light and shadow is particularly effective, ensuring that the structure, despite its scale, does not feel heavy. The thoughtful guidance of visitors and the gradual unveiling of successive spaces lend the whole project an almost contemplative character. This is a project with a distinct identity, in which simplicity of form goes hand in hand with a keen sensitivity to the context of the site.
