Originaly designed as a house, today the Villa Savoye is a the new Center for Architectural Knowledge. We imagined #thevillasavoyeexperice so the building can live his Renaissance by becoming the true Icon Le Corbusier’s dreamt of, a century later. Let's make the Villa Savoye great again !

VILLA SAVOYE REINVENTED

The new Centre for Architectural Knowledge is designed to teach about his achievements. It is based on Le Corbusier’s belief that anyone can reinvent themselves. Instead of making drastic changes to the Villa Savoye in order to accommodate the extensive catering programme for visitors, it was decided to keep the monument in its current state.

Villa Vernacular : Samantar

This architectural expression reflects its surroundings and seeks to enhance the interior-exterior connection. It also encourages local participation whilst protecting the interests of the inhabitants. The project is influenced by its context, seamlessly integrating with the rural fabric of Kerala, thus it strives for both, vitality and authenticity.
