4THE PERANAKAN TERRACEPeranakans is a culture established through the marriage of the early Chinese settlement and local Malay. The fusion of the combination leads to the unique elements which are the prior referral to the project located at Georgetown. Passive design strategies were applied in conjunction with the Peranakans building characters to overcome the weakness on site.
22Honorable MentionCRYSTAL STRAWThe initial form of the bridge is very concise - it is a pipe or a straw thrown over a stream. The pipe has a direct function to transport matter from one point to another, which actually corresponds to the original function of the bridge to transport people. A crystal straw, as a form, is the personification of transparency and weightlessness, fluidity.
9THE LOOPSThis design proposes a continuous fluid space integrating and hovering over the existing topography, creates two separate systems facilitate the different functions of the building, ensures the safety and security of the medical zone while increase the interaction between visitors and koalas.
249BIO-SPACES FABRICThe project is based on the relationships that exist between human beings and nature, trying to create a biospatial fabric to reconnect with nature, through biophilic spaces and tours, natural sensations are connected with the user's emotions to generate unforgettable experiences both in public and private spaces, all around a space with fauna and flora.
17WinnerINNThe building, which was designed to create a landmark in the middle of the vast desert and attracts the attention of people even from afar, consists of accommodation units and social areas. The name of the project is inn because it evokes the inn culture in the past. It is aimed to preserve the vitality by keeping the tradition alive.
