CUBE(ish)

People are in a rush between their home and workplaces. They sometimes miss the opportunity to pause, look around and feel good. At this point in-between spaces (between home and workplace) in cities draw attention. Our concept is an in-between space which creates an escape point from daily rush.

Earth Side: Between the Ground and the Returning Body

Loss is not life’s interruption but its condition. This research reimagines the hospice in Montagu, Western Cape, as a threshold rather than a terminus, mediating private, communal and inherited grief. In a South Africa where apartheid’s death geographies still shape who dies with dignity, access to care remains uneven. Moving beyond clinical models, the project foregrounds emotional, spiritual and ancestral dimensions of dying, positioning architecture as an act of care, repair and passage.

Plastic Waste Metamorphosis

Plastic is a revolutionary invention that is proving to be a global issue because of its immortalityl and lack of public awareness. The thesis is on a plastic waste recycling complex where all types of plastic waste will be recycled, and the environment will be rescued by growing public awareness through the use of the strength of architecture.

I like the concept but could have been executed better

ARCHITECTURE FOR ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE EXCAVATIONS

This thesis focuses on building an architecture that intervenes during archaeological excavations to mitigate the issue of lengthy excavation times that are not beneficial to the public. In addition, the architecture will act to protect the ancient ruins up to No.21 that are affected by the environment that occurs within the area.

The sensitive city

Grounded in architectural phenomenology, this article investigates the sensory foundations of urban experience, showing how the body, place, and memory shape the identity of the city beyond contemporary planning paradigms.

Super clear ambition, and well presented. This accepts the notion that what man touches is no longer "nature", while offering it in different packaging, and a place of constant change. A new version of a "Watts Tower", accumulating pieces and parts over time, a construction site of parts akin to Archigram....The ground plan is a helpful, though I would question the need for such idiosyncratic form. I would encourage more directly how all the senses are activated. Thought provoking.

Between Memory and Oblivion: Mourning courses

The present senior thesis addresses the creation of a refugee cemetery on the island of Lesvos. Placing great emphasis on notions such as memory, loss and mourning, we try to design this peculiar burial ground. Collective memory and private memory are united in a transitional space, where one is being prepared for what is to follow.

Athenaeum

With its directed, aspiring form, Athenaeum symbolizes the idea of moving towards the unknown ... This topic is manifested in the formation of the plot lines of ensemble through mutual integration between architecture and environment.

We positively appreciate the innovative initial idea of digital form generation, which has created a building that appears to be made with pixels. We recommend that you bring more analog and constructive thinking into your project. We encourage you to work more with the tour of the building to make it comfortable and easy for someone who visits it without knowing it, as well as to develop the interior museography.

I don't like the idea or the development. The presentation doesn't help much either. Although the project is hard worked

House factory

Bauhaus was about design for everyone, philosophy was encouraged by mass production and not restricted by it. House factory is following those principles by producing house prototypes which are available for everyone, and allowing eve-ryone who is interested to participate in creating process. I don't think that a school of architecture is a factory of different styles of facades.

BACK TO HUMAN REALITY

The project is based on recalling the trade basics established on a seller - buyer relationship, direct contact with the customer and peoples' contact with the product. The project assumes a return to the medieval concept of the market as a meeting place and a center of social life. Our retail of the future is a retail moving back to human reality.

Patchwork

While walking on the street, the masses reaching towards the horizon consist of massive silhouette and color. It starts to show its surfaces as it gets closer. As we get closer and closer, it takes us in and begins to show its color and details. We touch, feel, and it is now fragmented. Patchwork discusses the distance between us and the material and its

This project has a very interesting urban integration. We appreciate the idea of depressing the ground floor and generating a new open urban space and the way of approach to the materials in three levels). The descent by stairs to the basement is a great barrier and does not invite the entrance to the museum. Public buildings must be perfectly accessible to people with reduced mobility.
