Contemporary Homes
Residential architecture and interior design for contemporary homes, covering family houses, multi-unit dwellings, and the details that shape daily living.
Contemporary homes are residential projects designed in current architectural and interior idioms, emphasizing spatial clarity, material honesty, and performance over historical reference. The category spans single family houses, paired or multi-unit dwellings, and the fittings that connect a house to its occupants. Designers working in this area balance site conditions, climate, and the household's daily routines.
Members on uni.xyz share work that ranges from sustainable family houses in coastal suburbs to twin homes in Argentina and private residences in Iran. Projects also address smaller elements such as entrance design and craftsmanship in doors, showing how detailing contributes to the character of a home.
