Keith BradshawKeith Bradshaw

Keith Bradshaw

Principal, Speirs + Major, United Kingdom

Keith Bradshaw studied fine art before training in architecture at the Bartlett School of Architecture. This broad education provided him with the opportunity to develop ideas where materials became less important than the atmosphere and experience of space: this led naturally to working with light. Keith has led many of the practice’s award-winning international and UK projects, including the Copenhagen Opera House, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Mosque, Shenzhen Airport and flagship stores for Giorgio Armani in Tokyo, New York, Milan, and Beijing. Noteworthy current projects include urban realm projects in Miami, Helsinki and Hong Kong and civic buildings in Rome, Oslo, and Beijing. He regularly publishes articles and has been a keynote speaker at design conferences around the world. He has also lectured and taught practical workshops to a range of students. Keith was invited to be a Fellow of the RSA in 2013.

Maurice AssoMaurice Asso

Maurice Asso

Principal, Hilights, Lebanon

as a pioneer of the architectural lighting profession since the early 1990s, asso ventured to achieve a milestone in this domain that paid off several years later to draw a line between choosing light fixtures and architectural lighting expression. maurice invests tremendously in the new science of lighting technology and its design tools where this knowledge is transferred regularly to his team of accomplished designers. this keeps the whole pack on the front lines of design methods and makes their products a much-sought commodity rather than a luxury. as a member of the Professional Lighting Design Association (PLDA) since 2008, and SLL UK in 2014, asso constantly preaches the disciplines of the lighting establishment and encourages all newcomers to work under its umbrella and attain the respect and recognition of other professionals of the architectural domain. many lectures and workshops over the world seed future knowledge for the coming lighting designers.
