Garage renaissance

In the history of Soviet and Russian culture, there was such a thing as a garage cooperative. In the past they were a huge generator of sociocultural life. Nowadays, most of these cooperatives have lost their former glory. They turned into meeting places for marginalised groups. In our project we try to find ways to solve this problem.

LIT! - BEACONS ON CITY DARK SPOTS

Beacons fill the dark vacancy by encouraging people to gather with light and warmth. Located in Bryant Park in Manhattan, "LIT!-Beacons on City Dark Spots" is an urban design program that consists of a playground, an outdoor theater, and a performance space. The playful pavilions attract civic events to the public park, especially during the night time.

NEW PUBLIC OPEN SPACES FOR THE CONTEMPORARY CITY

This study deals with the spaces left in the contemporary city, that is to say those empty spaces that are accidentally carried out between the building objects. These are small spaces, similar to those in which Aldo Van Eyck designs his playgrounds for the city of Amsterdam today we have to think about these spaces for the evening when people can live them

NIGHTLY MEETING

In the park, the light directs the people to reach the site. At the site, fire was used to create a meeting space. In the dark, light can absorb population, break the silence of the night and ultimately create security in space.

SYMPHONY

Symphony is a series of sound-reactive light installations within Bishops Square in London. It encourages the public to interact with each other, while also providing a space for performers, as the production of sound will allow the fabric-wrapped tube lights to illuminate and fill the square with multi-coloured reflections.
