Gokhan Aksoy Mimarlik
Master Architect, Gökhan Aksoy Mimarlik, Turkey
Gökhan Aksoy was born in 1978,Ankara. After his completion of bachelor degree at Gazi University and Middle East Technical University, in 2000, he completed his master’s degree at Middle East Technical University, Department of Building Science, in 2003. He follows his PhD studies at the same university. He continues his professional practice at Gökhan Aksoy Mimarlık Ltd. Şti. , which is founded by him in 2000. Throughout his professional practice, he won many rewards in national architectural design competitions. He contributed as a board member of the Turkish Self-employed Architects Society during 11th and 14th periods. In addition to his professional architectural business, he gives lectures at several universities and participates as jury member in national and international architectural design competitions.
Karolina Slawecka

Karolina Slawecka was born in 1980 in Warsaw. She studied architecture at ENSA Paris-La Villette and Warsaw University of Technology, where in 2007 she obtained her Master’s Degree. She worked 5 years for Herzog & de Meuron on many international projects including Tate Modern Extension in London. In 2011 she joined Atelier Peter Zumthor, where she became a partner in 2013, leading, among other projects, the new building for Los Angeles County Museum of Art. In the academic year 2016/17 she was a teaching at EPFL in Lausanne. In 2017 she cofounded Architecture Club.
Jay Dertinger

Jay is a registered architect and Associate Partner at PJA Architects + Landscape Architects in Seattle, Washington where he has specialized in zoological planning and design for the past seventeen years. Jay has extensive and varied experience working with zoological parks, aquariums, wildlife sanctuaries and nature parks world-wide. His goal is to establish innovative trends in zoological planning and design and in the interpretation of nature and culture. He is LEED certified and committed to sustainable design initiatives and the latest building technologies and materials. At PJA Architects + Landscape Architects, we believe that a clear understanding of the relationship between nature and man is critical to maintaining a quality of life for all, as well as for the proper stewardship of our planet.
