79Runner-upParadaijahThe word paradise comes from Proto-Iranian Paradaijah, meaning walled enclosure. Project propose to erect a wall from ruins of devastated Aleppo, to invite water and plants inside, as a metaphor of revival and realm of peace. Meanwhile the modern reinterpretation of traditional arches stimulates public life and offers a place to play, trade and meet.

1MEMORY OF HOMES & HOPESThe body is perforated by home (Liwans) shaped voids, representing what?s missing, while accenting towards transcendental. It rests on the site without imposing any precedence to any sides, magnetically absorbing the city from all sides towards its heart. The heart is where the light showers through the Oculus opening, offering the sky, which is still blue.
8Re.greenerationRe.greeneration is a transitional place between Aleppo?s past - present ? future, valuing as much as possible its history and relationship with the social and physical context. The project is based on the idea of the demolished building as part of the resulting/current landscape. Understanding the place as an ecosystem.
2Condensation parkI advocate the use of containers and simple steel frames to build a park-like residential community, completely removing the borders. The GF floor has almost no walls and borders, which makes it open like a park. The first to fourth floors are residential and the top floor is surrounded by a flyover. There is no sense of isolation when refugees live in them.
8Historical remembrance community in the ruins - wreckageThe design combines the fragments of memory with the fragments of the country to feel pain and rebirth. The whole scheme is a relationship of aggregation and dispersion. Design highlights: the road from south to north, from divergence and convergence, free access from all sides, meaning a wide gathering of people, gathered here.
3Repair the crack in Syria's memoryThe plan aims to repair the cracks in Syria's memory caused by the war, including ?the Corridor of Memory Crack?(along the destructed important buildings around Aleppo Citadel) and ?The Memorial Hall of War and History? (the end of 'corridor').
7enlightening the heritageThe project consists of a underground square, externally covered by a pure stone clad volume symbolzing a solemn monument. Approaching it, people live the space under the building, which is the real memorial. A space in the darkness broken by strong lights coming from the courts above where lights illuminate objects representing the losses brought by the war
47The Dream of al-Ash?-r Memorial, a voice of memory and dreams. Dreams that create a temporary structure that will be built up over time along with the opportunities and needs of local people, simultaneously with the reconstruction of the city. In time, the emptiness that results from the destruction will fill the void into a mass full of life.

16Child Health Integrative Center (CHIC)Syria has hope. The people of Syria can recreate a healthy and safe environment for generations to come. CHIC is open to Syrian children of all ages, suggesting a true integrative approach to healing. It's a healthy stem cell in an injured tissue. It can multiply its positive effect and regrow a functional city and community around itself.
