Lunar Stalactite

The Lunar Stalactite Colony is a Self-Sustained Habitat Research & Communications Station located beneath the Sinuous Rille. Encased withing a lava tube, the sub-surface station hangs atop the roof of the cave beneath a crater opening. The sub-surface station provides habitable environment with research and development facilities & leisure spaces.

ALGAL REALM

The project focuses on building a sustainable ecosystem using bioengineered algae to create an ecosystem which caters to the need of people living on the moon rather than depending on complex machinery.

Lunar Spiral

Today we are standing on the eve of the year 2024, which is dedicated to the Artemis mission. A mission that will change our perspective on space exploration and will lay the foundation for future generations to travel to Mars. A mission that is the next step towards establishing long-term sustainable human habitation on the Moon.

The project is named after its location in Aitken - a large lunar impact crater that lies on the far side of the Moon. In accordance with the peculiarities of habitation - a daily temperature difference of 200 °C, radiation exposure - the space base is a closed self-regulating structure with the possibility of qualitative and quantitative changes over time.

The Luna base forms a closed, autonomous cycle. The unity of the stars, nations and ultimately the galaxy should be reflected in the architecture. The inner part symbolizes the sun, indicating the direction of the planets. This is also the case with Luna Base, where the inner sector determines life. Architecture that shapes a new united era of humanity.
