The project shows that the typical facilities are not only for business. Community functions and interests could be combined with the existing and accustomed routine buildings, where we go every day. It changes the understanding and perception of the functions.

The project is created thinking realistically about the future, taking into account current technologies. Local growing will be critically needed in future and in order to be ready for that we should start and populate it now. Local food growing has more profit because people don’t have to waste money for the transportation, no extra CO2 emissions and affordability of fruits and vegetables all year around.

The main function of the supermarket with food growing is combined with community. Thus, the building is being used for several functions, including different people at the same time. There was used existing yard and existing routine facility, showing how the yards and big buildings could change the region.
