A Cyber bin is a high-tech waste disposal solution that uses advanced technology to collect, sort, compact, and dispose of waste with a self-cleaning mechanism and has some incentives for its users. Utilizing sensors to detect the type of waste placed in them, they automatically sort it into the appropriate bin and send notifications to the nearest recycling facility. AI-powered feedback and tips on how to reduce waste are also provided. Constructed of biodegradable and recycled materials, they can determine the composition of the waste and suggest alternative disposal methods. Cyber bins are powered by renewable energy sources and even provide power to nearby electronics. Organic waste is decomposed into fertilizer for plants, while a built-in compactor can reduce the volume of waste by up to 80%. When full, they will send a notification to the nearest waste management facility for collection.
