Krishna Buildestates Pvt Ltd has successfully delivered the latest addition to the Indian School of Business (ISB) campus in Mohali. Comprising two G+6 buildings (Faculty Housing-2 & Bachelor Housing-2), this development is designed to support the university’s expanding academic ecosystem. It will house students and faculty members, reinforcing ISB’s commitment to fostering a world-class learning environment with sustainable and high-quality infrastructure.
Engineering Precision and Sustainable Construction
The project adheres to the most stringent green building norms, ensuring environmental responsibility in every phase of construction. Fly ash, a byproduct of thermal power plants, was incorporated into the concrete mix to promote sustainability. Lightweight AAC blocks were used for internal partitions, which significantly reduced the building’s structural load while enhancing its thermal efficiency.
A vertical formwork system utilising reusable aluminium panels was deployed, minimising reliance on wooden ply and pinewood, thereby reducing construction waste. The highest quality Ready-Mix Concrete (RMC)—sourced exclusively from Ultratech and RDC, India’s two largest suppliers—ensured structural integrity and durability.
Optimised for Comfort and Efficiency
High-performance doors and windows from Schuco have been integrated to minimise thermal losses during peak summers and winters, improving the building’s energy efficiency and occupant comfort. Additionally, modular Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) tanks, fabricated from eco-friendly and non-toxic recycled materials, have been installed to support the building’s water supply system, further reinforcing sustainability without compromising quality.
A Collaborative Effort for Institutional Growth
This milestone project was executed under close supervision and collaboration with CBRE,, ensuring streamlined execution and adherence to ISB’s vision. The new student and faculty housing facilities will play a pivotal role in the expansion of ISB’s Mohali campus, further cementing its position as a leading global business school.
Director’s Perspective
“We are extremely proud to have constructed the 2 new housing buildings at ISB Mohali, where the next generation of industry leaders will be nurtured. Education is the backbone of India’s future, and we are honoured to contribute to this vision. A special thanks to Dean Prof. Madan Pilutla, CFO Mr. Paresh Gupta Ji, Commercial Director Ms. Mita Banerjee and the entire ISB team, along with CBRE Director Mr. Manmohan Nijhawan Ji and his team, for entrusting us with this opportunity to be part of nation-building.”
