Into the red lines
An illustration going inside of the red lines of Muralla Roja
Into the red lines is an illustration inspired by the shapes and colors of Ricardo Bofill's Muralla Roja, a house building in Calpe, Spain. This illustration follows the way of the multiple bulks this project has. Using the concept of Illusory Contours, the lines are following the direction of the planes in order to become the edges of them an illusion. Nothing is really drawn, they're just lines following different perspectives and making other lines by folding themselves and changing their directions. The center of the illustration is making an infinity mirror effect, which is also just made of lines. This artwork was made in Adobe Illustrator, using lines-only method. The amount of lines are also used to create shadows in darker surfaces to create depth and spatiality without using different tones of color. The colors of the lines are red because of the project, and light blue because of the sky.
