Discover the pinnacle of luxury guest house design with the Amagansett Addition, a masterful creation by Resolution: 4 Architecture. Located on a scenic bluff overlooking Amagansett Beach, this project is a testament to modern design and innovative architecture.

Project Overview
Background
The Amagansett Addition was commissioned by a bachelor who wanted to enhance his existing home to better accommodate and entertain friends and family during the summer. The challenge was to expand the living space without compromising the breathtaking ocean views that the site offers.

Design Philosophy
Resolution: 4 Architecture designed this 5,723 square-foot modular guest house to seamlessly blend with the existing structure while emphasizing open spaces and indoor-outdoor living. The addition is not just a space; it's an experience that enhances the natural beauty of its surroundings.

Key Features of the Amagansett Guest House Addition
The Auto Court and Entry
A significant feature of the luxury guest house design is the large auto court, designed to accommodate guest arrivals with style. The site-built garage features a hydraulically-operated glass door and is cantilevered off the bluff, ensuring that views remain unobstructed. Cedar trellises and screen walls guide guests to the entry, providing privacy and a hint of the luxurious design that awaits inside.

Living Spaces and Entertainment
Indoor Flow
The heart of the guest house is its expansive living area, designed to host large gatherings. Glass-lined corridors and large pocketing glass entry doors maintain an open, airy feel, while folding glass doors across the south side open up to the outdoor decks, offering direct access to the pool area and uninterrupted ocean views.

Outdoor Features
The rooftop of the guest house boasts a turf-covered bocce court, an oversized fire pit, and a custom stainless steel hot tub, all designed for the ultimate entertainment experience. Guests can ascend the exterior stairs from the pool deck to enjoy these amenities, along with stunning panoramic views of the ocean.

Private Quarters and Amenities
The lower level of the addition houses a home gym and five guest bedroom suites, each with its own unique view of the garden through large sliding glass doors. Each suite features built-in Baltic birch beds and an ensuite bathroom, providing luxury and privacy.
The Amagansett Addition by Resolution: 4 Architecture redefines luxury guest house design. With its thoughtful integration of architectural elements and its focus on maximizing views and entertainment spaces, this project stands as a beacon of modern architecture and design excellence in Amagansett.
