Studio Razavi Architecture has reimagined the Motion Equity Partners Headquarters in Paris, transforming a 1960s all-concrete building into a contemporary, functional, and elegant workspace. Completed in 2024, this 870 m² office reflects a perfect balance of modern office design, modular workspaces, and natural materiality.

Inspired by Concrete Heritage

The original building’s concrete structure served as a key source of inspiration. The architects embraced its robust character while introducing warmth and sophistication through walnut and travertine wall paneling, creating a workspace that feels both intimate and professional.

A Flowing Workplace Concept

Central to the design is a large main hallway, envisioned as the office’s “main street.” This corridor fosters constant interaction, connecting offices, meeting rooms, the cafeteria, and other work zones. The layout encourages collaboration, movement, and a dynamic office culture while maintaining a sense of privacy.

Modular Yet Permanent Furniture

The interiors feature carefully selected furniture systems from brands like Fritz Hansen, Viccarbe, &Tradition, and Interface, balancing modularity with a lasting presence. Each element contributes to a flexible work environment that supports both individual focus and team collaboration.

Light-Filled Offices & Courtyards

Every office opens onto the central hallway on one side and gardens or courtyards on the other, ensuring abundant natural light throughout. The connection to greenery creates a serene atmosphere while enhancing employee well-being.

Materials & Detailing

The use of walnut, travertine, and premium finishes delivers a refined yet approachable aesthetic. Complemented by thoughtful lighting design, acoustic solutions by META Acoustique, and bespoke elements from Art&Boiserie and Inedit Lighting, the headquarters balances comfort, functionality, and visual elegance.

Expert Collaboration

The project involved meticulous collaboration among multiple specialists:

  • Architecture & Interior Design: Alireza Razavi
  • MEP Engineering: PIKA
  • Acoustic Design: META Acoustique
  • Contracting: Home Life
