Music in Nature
What if there is a different type of hearing the music of nature?
In nature there are harmonical voices like in music if you want to hear... However in the city center, because of our daily works and also the sound of the city mixing to its lights, we can not catch and hear the breeze or the rain drops falling on the textural ground unless they start to yell through our faces with its strength. Whereas even in the city center if we hear carefully we will realize the birds' new songs, wind's words, trees' branches accompaniment to the friends' music. If we try to listen the music of nature, we can create the new notes for our daily life. The main approach of the project is to make people realize the music of the nature by the help of the architectural elements. Some light metal and metal mesh plates that were fixed with a skeleton steel beams to the concrete building with the detailed mechanism can move smaller by the wind because of its lightness and while moving right and left and backside to frontside gives a metal sound by crashing a little eachother. With their movements and noises we feel the rythim of the nature while every people are walking throught the entrance corridor of the theather. Firstly we observed the site, the building varieties and functions near to the site. Then we followed the foot prints on the site photograph and we understood that there are circulation axises on the site that people are passing from this area. Therefore we left these axises and provided people pass through the same passages with prefering them living "a new architectural experience". For the deaf people they can see the rythim of the wind with the movement. The architectural elements will be the instruments of the wind and it can play to explain its song. For the theather area in contrary to the other theathers, we have an area on top of the stage to get the stages' musical sounds into the metal pool area fulfilled with the water with the connection of the speakers to the conductive metal. Besides wind we took water from nature and use its flowliness in the spatial relations and also use itself to exhibit the stage's music after we affected from the video on our research that the water's rytmic and aesthetic dance with the music by appliying a conductive mechanism for that. The circular water pool on top of the stage can be seen near of it with walking around of it or while the performance is going, this exhibition space will be projected to the walls of the theather room and foyer so the feeling of the music will never end even in the inside. Moreover, this area is designed on the terrace in the opened space so when the rain drops and wind started to dance with it, the all visitors in the building will see this area from the projected walls in the spaces. So we can always witness the rythim in the nature even we are deaf or not...
