Perfume Refill Cap Design
Desall product design contest
A leading multinational company in the packaging industry and Desall invite you to design an innovative and reusable dispensing cap for refilling perfume bottles at home. The proposed solution shall make it possible to transfer the fragrance from the refill container to the perfume bottle through a simple, intuitive, and safe process, ensuring a quick and convenient experience even for users with no previous experience. The system shall provide a stable and controlled connection between the two containers, preventing direct contact with the liquid and minimizing the risk of leaks, dripping, accidental spills, and product contamination throughout the refill operation. Particular attention shall be paid to the simplicity and reliability of the mechanism, ease of fitting and removal, compatibility with existing perfume packaging, and suitability for repeated use. The design shall also reflect strong sustainability principles, combining reduced material use, efficient construction, and long-term reusability without compromising performance, safety, or perceived quality.
