Sense of Imagination

The concept of this project was peace.  In a world where adults are

constantly at war with each other over issues such as land, natural

resources and other issues, it is the children who are always the

messengers of world peace.

Children are pure human beings who make friends with each other and

share their world with each other without any orientation and regardless of

racial, religious, etc. differences.

 The vision of this project has been that the children who the savior of the

earth on which we live, are human species. These are the children who can

bring peace to the whole world in the future, if they properly educated and

shaped.

In today's world, children must grow up free from all stress and live in

peace, so that in the future they can fly on the wings of the bird of peace

and sow the seeds of friendship in all parts of the world.

 The idea of this project is inspired by the peace bird and the olive tree. In

most parts of the world, a dove with a branch of an olive tree with it's beak

is known as a symbol of peace.  The form of the project site was such that

at first glance it looked like a pigeon wing. This form of the site

configuration to the initial idea of project size.  Then, the different shapes of

different types of wings, both in real and abstract forms, were examined

and adapted to the shape of the plan site, was obtained.

Some of the parts of the wings have been designed like the ramp which

started from the ground and a space is created for children to walk at an

altitude above the ground, which leads to dynamism and mobility.

Also, despite the difference in height, the wings have access to each other

through stairs.  Due to the passage of light and the creation of shadows on

the wings were designed at a distance from each other. On the complex

and part of the play area, children and visitors will see different games of

light and shadow during different hours of the day.  Under the wings that

have risen above the ground, a hanging garden has been designed to help

develop the child's creativity and mental curiosity.

In the northern part of the site, a small farmland has been designed where

children can have their own personalized farm and experience the good

feeling of getting a product that they have planted and cultivated

themselves.  To do this, backpacks are designed for them, which contain

safe tools needed for gardening that can be placed on the shoulders and

walk in their small farm and feel the nature.

As mentioned, the main concept of this project is taken from a pigeon that

has an olive branch with It's beak, for this reason, this idea has been used

in designing the project plan site.

In such a way that the main entrance to the entrance of the building is in

the shape of an olive branch and around the branch, the leaves of the olive

tree are designed in the shape of a pond so that children can use the

element of water in addition to the natural element of soil.

The main material which used in this project, is white concrete to be able to

convey the sense of purity of children and the color of peace.  Also, the

colored glass used in the project view reflects the feeling of happiness and

the childish colored world in the project.

According to what was asked of the designers, the interior design was all

open and no part was completely separated from the other parts. The scale

of the spaces for children is designed according to them and each child is

able to meet their own needs and doesn't have to be in the presence of

parents or an adult.

Access to the second floor will be possible through stairs and also a

ramp is designed for children to access the second floor. In addition to

access to the second floor, this ramp is a way to climb and reach the top of

the slide that is part of  Indoor play is included.

The toy corner section is designed in the cozy corner of the collection and includes shelves made of

different recycled materials so that children can use different recycled

 materials and combine them to personalize their desired play equipment,

and in addition, they get acquainted with the recycling process and respect

for the land and the importance of reducing waste production. Also for this

part, it was thought to produce a new toy that is soft like slime paste and

can be placed on top of each other and locked together like Lego cubes.

With this toy, children can travel in the world of infinite creativity and turn

their thoughts into reality. There is also a toy counter next to this cozy

corner where children can sell their own toys or buy toys which designed by

their friends. These increases interaction and consensus among children.

In the southern part of the building and on the ground floor, a cafeteria has

been designed for parents and visitors, which allows users to relax in a

quiet environment and eat and read books in the cafe and also watch their

children play from afar. Although the cafeteria is located in the complex and

on the ground floor, it is located in such a way that parents can watch their

children from a distance while the children still feel independent in their play

space and in a free and safe space.  Without the presence of parents and

adults, they discover, play and interact with each other.
