Architectural Concept: Merging Urban and Natural Elements

Nestled at the foot of Montjuïc, Barcelona's largest urban park, the design concept embraces the Mediterranean landscape, incorporating organic forms and dynamic levels. By leveraging the natural height difference between the entrance and the back restaurant, the space features stepped platforms that create an immersive experience, inviting visitors to explore as if they were ascending the mountain itself.

The Bar: A Central Focal Point

At the heart of Simultaneo Bar lies a circular bar, serving as the energetic nucleus of the space. Acting like a contemporary roundabout, this architectural feature directly interacts with Plaza de España, drawing guests into its dynamic atmosphere. Designed with warm wooden ceilings resembling lush tree canopies and a striking ceramic counter in vibrant green, the bar exudes a sense of natural elegance and contemporary design.

The Lobby: Artisanal Craftsmanship and Mediterranean Inspiration

Adjacent to the entrance, the hotel lobby is an artistic homage to traditional ceramics, featuring three-dimensional handcrafted tiles specially designed for the project. This ceramic artistry not only establishes a visual connection with the bar counter but also enhances the space with vivid textures and an earthy color palette, mirroring the greenery of Montjuïc Park.

The Restaurant: A Lush Indoor Garden

As guests move further into the space, they enter a sunlit dining area, covered by a translucent greenhouse-style roof that bathes the space in natural Mediterranean light. Designed as an indoor garden, the restaurant integrates large planters, sculptural seating, and organic pathways, creating a serene oasis in the heart of the city.

The restaurant’s versatile layout offers diverse seating arrangements, from cozy, intimate corners to communal tables and an elevated stage for cultural events. This flexibility allows Simultaneo Bar to host a variety of activities throughout the day, including breakfasts, business meetings, social gatherings, cocktails, and live performances.

A Multi-Functional Space for Modern Barcelona

More than just a bar or restaurant, Simultaneo is a multifunctional gastronomic and cultural hub, embodying Barcelona's dynamic lifestyle. By merging innovative architecture, sustainable materials, and a deep connection to its urban and natural surroundings, El Equipo Creativo has successfully crafted a space that is both contemporary and timeless.
