THE PROPOSED PROJECT IS BLIND SCHOOL FOR K-12 STUDENTS
THE BLIND PEOPLE ARE LIKE ANY OTHER PEOPLE WITH THE SPECIAL GIFT OF CONCENTRATING HEAVILY ON THE OTHER FOUR SENSES.
SPENDING A DAY IN A SCHOOL WITHOUT FEAR IS AN MAJOR OBSTACLE IN FRONT OF THEM
I THOUGHT ABOUT CLEARING ALL THE OBSTACLES IN FRONT OF THEM SO THAT THEY COULD FEEL LIKE THEY ARE IN THEIR HOUSE WITH THEIR CLOSE ONES
THE SITE IS LOCATED IN KRYLATSKOYE DISTRICT IN MOSCOW, RUSSIA DUE TO ITS SUSCEPTIBLE TO HARSH COLD WINTER IDEA OF CREATING AN INDEPENDENT COMMUNITY WHERE ALL THE MAIN ELEMENTS ARE ASSEMBLED AS A SINGLE ENTITY IN WHICH RANGE OF FACILITIES ARE INTERNALLY CONNECTED WITHOUT GOING OUTSIDE
THE SITE ABUTS TWO SIDES OF THE ROAD WHICH HELPED ME TO GIVE TWO SEPARATE ENTRY AND EXITS FOR THE SCHOOL BUS AND PARENTS STAFF AND VISITORS VEHICLES
CONCEPT
THERE ARE DIFFERENT TYPES OF BLIND PEOPLE SOME OF THEM CAN PERCEIVE LIGHT AND SHADOW, SOME OF THEM CAN PERCEIVE CONTRAST COLOURS. THESE PEOPLE THEMSELVES CREATE AN LANDMARK FOR FINDING THE LOCATION
PROVIDING LANDMARKS THAT INTRIGUE DIFFERENT TYPES OF SENSES WHICH COULD HELP THEM FIND THEIR DESTINATION
EACH CLASS HAS 4 SECTIONS AND EVERY 4 SECTIONS HAVE THEIR SEPARATE COURTYARD
EACH COURTYARD IS DESIGNED ACCORDING TO THE STUDENTS AGE BEHAVIOUR
THE TEMPERATE COURTYARD HAS STAINES GLASS PUNCTURED THROUGH THE WALL SO THAT CHILDREN COULD GO AND PERCEIVE THE LIGHT COMING OUT OF THE STAINED GLASS
THE LANDMARKS ARE GIVEN AT EACH CLASSROOM WHICH HELPS THE STUDENTS FIND THEIR DESTINATION

3) HAPTIC LANDMARK
THE WOODEN LOUVERS RUN ALONG THE WALL TO SHOW WHERE THE CORRIDOR IS GOING
THE KINDERGARTEN BLOCK IS SEPARATED FROM THE PRIMARY AND SECONDARY BLOCK

AT THE ENTRANCE OF THE BUILDING THERE IS AN WIND CHIME TOWER THAT ACTS AS A BELL THAT COULD ECHO ITS LOCATION. BEFORE ENTERING INTO THE SCHOOL STUDENT WILL KNOW THERE IS THEIR SCHOOL NEARBY
THE PATH OF EXPERIENCE
ENTERING THE SCHOOL THERE 3 DIFFERENT PATHS EACH PATH HAS A DIFFERENT KIND OF EXPERIENCE AFTER PASSING THE CONFINED AND DARK PATHWAY STUDENTS ENTER THE DOUBLE-HEIGHT SPACE ATRIUM.
PASSING THE TRANSITION STUDENTS COULD FEEL FREEDOM WHEN THEY ENTER THE ATRIUM
AFTER PASSING THE ATRIUM THE PATH DIVIDES INTO THREE PATHWAYS
THE SCHOOL HAS NO STAIRCASE INSTEAD IT HAS A RAMP THAT RUNS THROUGH THE BUILDING
THE STAFF ROOM IS LOCATED IN THE CENTER OF THE BUILDING WITH A CURVED GLASS WALL WHICH PROVIDES WIDE ANGLE VIEW FOR THE STAFF
PHYSICAL
STUDENTS ARE PLYING IN THEIR SEPERATE COURTYARD WITH OTHER SECTION STUDENTS
THERE IS ALSO AN GOALBALL STADIUM ON THE TOP FLOOR WHICH COULD CHEER THEM UP
ART FORMS
THERE IS AN ART ROOM ON THE GROUND FLOOR WITH NO DOORS SO THAT THE SMELL COULD BRING OUT THE TALENT OF THE STUDENTS
THERE IS ALSO A MUSIC AND BAND ROOM ON THE FIRST FLOOR IN THE CENTER OF THE BUILDING SO THAT THE MUSIC PLAYED BY SOME STUDENTS WOULD BE HEARD BY EVERY CLASSROOM
WORLD
THE CENTRAL COURTYARD IS COVERED WITH STAINED GLASS STUDENTS WHO COULD PERCEIVE COLOURS CAN ENJOY THE COLOURED LIGHTING AND THE COLOUR OF THE LIGHT COMING THROUGH THE STAINED GLASS WOULD CHANGE PREDOMINANTLY THROUGHOUT THE DAY

STUDENTS FROM EACH SECTION OF THE CLASSROOMS COME TOGETHER WHICH BRING TEAMWORK FROM THEM

PLAYING AMONG THE GREENERY AND SMELLING DIFFERENT KINDS OF VEGETATION COULD CALM THEIR MIND AND ALSO HELP WITH THEIR CREATIVITY
THIS SCHOOL STAFF NOT ONLY TEACH BUT THIS SCHOOL ITSELF WILL TEACH THE STUDENTS ON HOW TO HANDLE THEIR SOCIAL LIFE. THIS SCHOOL GIVES THEM A DIFFERENT KIND OF PERSPECTIVE OF SEEING AND EXPERIENCING THE WORLD WHICH VISUALLY ABLED PEOPLE FORGET TO SEE
